The USFL began in earnest last weekend, featuring an opening game on Saturday between the hometown Birmingham Stallions and the New Jersey Generals and an Easter Sunday triple-header with Klay Thompson Jersey the rest of the league. This weekend, we get a full weekend of USFL action, with games starting Friday night. All eight teams will be playing once again, with the Stallions, Gamblers, Breakers, and Bandits looking to build on Week 1 wins. Half of the league will be .500 this week, with all four winners and all four losers playing each other. That's a fun twist on Week 2, but it puts the 0-1 teams in a big spot. There are no must-win games this early in the year, but if the NFL's succe s rate for 0-2 teams is any indicator, the Panthers, Generals, Maulers, and Stars are flirting with that scenario. Here's everything you need to know about Week 2 of the USFL:THE NEW USFL:||Here's the full schedule for the second week of the USFL season, Stephen Curry Jersey including final scores and how to watch each game live.Friday, April 22GameKickoff time (ET)TV channelMichigan Panthers at New Jersey Generals8 p.m.USA,Saturday, April 23GameKickoff time (ET)TV channelPittsburgh Maulers at Philadelphia Stars12 p.m.Fox, Birmingham Stallions at Houston Gamblers7 p.m.FS1, Sunday, April 24GameKickoff time (ET)TV channelNew Orleans Breakers at Tampa Bay Bandits3 p.m.NBC, Peacock,Here's how to watch Week 2's first game on Friday.Panthers at GeneralsKickoff:8 p.m. ETTV channel:USALive stream:Both of these teams lost in very different fashions in Week 1. Where the Generals ping-ponged with the Stallions throughout their opening day matchup -- ultimately losing on a last-minute drive -- the Panthers nearly pulled off a come-from-behind victory despite early struggles from quarterback Shea Patterson, who played better in the second half but came up just short. The Generals started their USFL season with a pa s-heavy offense, with receiver Randy Satterfield making an impre sive debut. In the second half, however, the Generals moved away from quarterback Luis Perez in the pa sing Draymond Green Jersey game, with De'Andre Johnson getting more reps. They'll be looking to lock down their consistency after long stretches of offensive struggles in Week 1.Here's how to watch every USFL game that will be played on Saturday.Maulers at StarsKickoff:12 p.m. ETTV:FoxLive stream:Fox Sports Go,The Maulers and the Stars are also looking to notch their first respective wins, after their defense gave up 23 points in Week 1 to the Breakers. They'll be looking to bounce back against the Maulers, who put up just three points in Week 1 against the Breakers. Bryan Scott will have to start better for the Stars after his brutal first half against New Orleans, but he showed flashes of talent in Week 1.The Maulers, meanwhile, are trying to figure things out. After they went viral for , they couldn't muster up any offense against the Bandits. That kind of outing simply will not stand in Week 2, as they go up against a Stars team that is clearly extremely talented and got off to a bad start.Stallions at GamblersKickoff: 7p.m. ETTV:FS1Live stream: Fox Sports Go,The Stallions are another example of a team doing exactly what it needs to to win. After an injury sidelined quarterback Alex McGough, Birmingham turned to backup J'Mar Smith, who put together a masterful second-half performance that featured a game-winning drive late. The Stallions have a high ceiling, and their 28-24 win over a seemingly very good Generals team proved that. For the Gamblers, their Week 1 win came via an opponent clearly still working the Baron Davis Jersey kinks out. Quarterback Clayton Thorson threw for just 73 yards, but three second-quarter turnovers put Houston up 17-0 going into the half. While the Panthers nearly made a comeback, coming up just short in a 17-12 final, Houston's offense needs to get to work early to ensure the Stallions don't run them off the field.Breakers at BanditsKickoff: 3p.m. ETTV:NBCLive stream eacock,There's nothing quite like a little regional rivalry to spice up a Sunday afternoon. The Breakers and Bandits Glenn Robinson III Jersey are both coming off Week 1 wins, and they look like the best two teams in the league after Week 1. Jordan Ta'amu was benched in part of Tampa Bay's Week 1 blowout of the Maulers, and he threw for 185 yards. The Bandits may need even more out of him this week, as he goes up against a Breakers team that put up 23 points in Week 1.The Breakers were led by quarterback Kyle Sloter, who threw for 150 yards, and Jordan Ellis, who rushed for 89 more. New Orleans had the most balanced attack in the USFL in Week 1, and look for it to leverage that against Tampa Bay team against whom ball control will undoubtedly be important. |
